Here’s How to Protect Your Hair Even While You’re Asleep

Protecting your hair at night is an all-important step that will help you get irresistible locks thato you’d love to flaunt! But most people tend to miss that and end up wondering about how their hair looks first thing in the morning. However, since you’re our Caffeinator, we don’t want you and your hair to suffer. Hence, we bring to you simple steps that will tell you how to protect your hair at night. From using fabric scrunchies to silk eye masks, we’ve covered it all!

Brush Your Hair Before Going To Bed

It is good to brush your hair from your scalp roots to tips before you fall asleep. This way, you detangle your hair while distributing your scalp’s natural oils evenly across your hair. Use a wide-toothed comb like mCaffeine’s Wooden Head Massage Comb for your hair every night.  Made of natural teakwood, this comb does more than just detangling your hair. It stimulates your hair roots and improves blood circulation. However, avoid brushing your hair when it is wet.

Never Sleep with Wet Hair

This is the most important of them all – never sleep with wet hair. We know, we know, washing your hair at night saves time, feels good, is cooling etc., etc. But keep in mind, hair is at its most vulnerable state when it's wet, so it’s super important to dry your hair completely to prevent tugging and severe breakage while you sleep. If you prefer to wash your hair at night, we recommend giving yourself an extra hour or two to allow your hair to air dry (or use a hairdryer) to avoid frizz.

Massage Your Scalp

Massaging your scalp before sleeping can effectively stimulate blood circulation to your follicles. This in turn promotes healthy hair growth, besides inducing deep sleep.

Splurge on a silk pillowcase

A silk pillowcase is one of the best ways to care for your hair while you are asleep. Trust us, your hair will thank you for this luxurious investment. Silk is a gentler fabric compared to other fabrics. The smaller fibres of silk pillows prevent your ends from excessive damage and pulling, especially if you toss and turn overnight. It's one of the best things you can do to protect your hair while sleeping.

Wrap Your Head in a Satin Hair Mask

Take your beauty sleep to the next level by wrapping hair at night with a satin head scarf. Just like the silk pillowcase, the scarf will help protect your ends and it will also maintain your hairstyle! Wearing a satin scarf while you sleep will help preserve those precious curls or braids, and also prevents frizz.

Wear a Scrunchie!

Just like your products and tools, your hair will only look as good as the accessories you use. Instead of reaching for small hair elastics, tie your hair with fabric hair scrunchies to tie or braid your hair. A bonus is that they’re cute, colorful and look absolutely adorable! Scrunchies are a simple solution to how to tie hair while sleeping, and are less harmful to your ends and securely hold your style without pulling out individual hairs as traditional hair ties do.

Use a Mulberry Silk Eye Mask

The best eye mask to use while sleeping is a pure mulberry silk one as that is gentle, prevents creases, breathable and lightweight, but most importantly it prevents any pulling or tugging of the hair. The mCaffeine Caffeinating Eye Mask is made from pure Mulberry Silk and has an elastic band that ensures the mask from slipping off and at the same time, it is also gentle on the hair, with no pulling, breakage or awkward dents

See that? These are very easy ones, ain’t they? And, good ones enough to get you hooked to beautiful tresses! So what are you waiting for? Follow these easy steps to get Addicted To Good Hair Days.
